When she graduated in 1992 Amanda Bossard began her study of marine biology in Anchorage at Alaska Pacific University. Bossard got her start in the commercial seafood industry in the year 1999. At the time she was employed in Murat Aritan's 65-foot halibut vessel, later converted into a fish tender. Bossard has married Aritan. The couple has joined forces and are claiming their respective industries. They believe in conservative, sustainable managing of the renewable resources for seafood. Otolith opened its direct market wholesale distributorship in Philadelphia in the year Bossard returned from living back home with her two daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre 1, and Andre 1, to Philadelphia. The couple is separated by 5 months and more for her to be focused on her financial goals and environmental concerns.
